Who am I?


I’m Jay Janssens, and have spent the past 5 years helping MSPs with troubleshooting, implementing and growing their businesses with the ConnectWise software suite. Prior to that I studied Astrophysics at the University of Southampton (which is why you might notice a space theme).

I was originally born in Belgium and have had the pleasure of living there, as well as in Northern Ireland, Germany, and England.

Throughout these years of travel and change I found a love for meeting new people and for solving problems.

When the world around you is always different, you learn to pivot and to keep moving forward no matter what life throws at you. You also learn that there is so much to explore and experience! The world is truly an amazing place and I cherish the many amazing connections I have made already.

I had always heard stories of people travelling the world and following their dreams; so in 2024 I decided that it was my turn. I had run out of excuses so I quit my full time employment, got rid of as many of my non-essential belongings as I could, and have hit the open road with my trusty laptop and a hat full of dreams.

What do you mean by "Digital Nomad Consultancy"?

A digital nomad is a location independent professional. With the rise of remote working and countries offering new work visas, it is now more accessible than ever before to work wherever the road takes you (or at the very least wherever there is good WiFi).

Will being a Digital Nomad affect how we work with you?

Not at all! JMC Tech commits to being a UK focused business. Any changes to my personal location whilst travelling will be communicated well in advance and with availability in the UK timezone in mind. I also commit to sourcing the best internet speeds and strong coffee wherever I go so that you will always have me at my best.

How do I know if my business needs consulting?

Have you bought into a big software suite that you feel like you are barely using? Do your customers say your service could be better but you know your team is already working flat out? Are you looking to grow your business but don't know how to get the data you need to make those all important strategic decisions?

Will you do the work for us?

It's an option! But let's sit down with a coffee first and have a chat about what you are looking to achieve. No one likes an empty promise and I want to make sure I can always meet your expectations.

How do you provide your services?

We utilise Microsoft Teams meetings for any calls between you and your team. We also recommend, to get the best experience with us, that you provide us with any relevant access to your system(s) to be able to provide remote analysis, support and implementation without needing to tie someone up on your side to supervise. Let us do what we do best whilst you do what you need to do to keep your business running.

*please note: you will be responsible for the cost of providing any access/licensing. Depending on the chosen service this may be required to work with JMC Tech.

What is your pricing?

At JMC Tech we believe that it is important to make sure we are the right fit for you before we get down to business. After all every business is unique and there is not a "one size fits all" approach. Please drop us an email or book an introduction call to discuss this further.
